Yes.
Australia has nothing to lose, and it has a gameplan. So it should be interesting. We either get a hiding or cause one of the bigger upsets!
For everyone (not just Australia) it would add more spice and entertainment if Australia caused an upset.
And don't write Australia off. We don't surrender, we can score goals, we are hungry, and most importantly we no longer have the biggest goalmouth in the world

We have had some good wins in recent years and have beaten Brazil 1:0! Also France 1:0, Mexico 2:0, England 3:1, Japan 3-1. Also some good draws against quality teams, and some of our losses, eg, Argentina 4-2 (3:0) could have gone to draws with Argentina scoring in the last minutes against the tide.
This has been good for Australian Football (Soccer version). Lots of coverage of the WC, not just Australian games. Suddenly we have tons of experts.

Front and Back page full coverage of the coming match. Big names in other codes actually trying to write this off as a blip on the radar.
Last night Australia -d- England in Rugy Union, with one of the biggest wins we've had, 43:18. Today the union result was on page 20 of the sports section! Two page coverage, but after Soccer, League and Rules! And the first 10 pages of sports section are Soccer.

Also pages 1, 4 and 5 of the main section are all Soccer.
This should have happened in 1998, when we were undefeated in the qualifiers and failed to qualify! Unique result. Again in 2002 when Uruquay pipped us (good team, but the fans are bloody scarey and won it in Montevideo!)
The parties are on!
Samba parties, Brazil nights, Rio nights, carnival nights.

Australia is very multi-cultural, and people are loving the excuse to get out there and have some fun.
