Reporting this as a "bug" is not trivial -- Fred comes here to read about legit
bugs, not trivial things like the global spelling of words. This should have been
posted in "Feature requests" or "General discussion", and not in "Bug reports"
where serious and real bugs are supposed to be discussed.

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

We like to take credit for a great many things? Can you back that up very broad assertion with FACTS? And who's "they"? In fact in this case it was an Australian making that statement. All the historical material I've ever seen acknowledges the contributions of all the countries you mentioned. However it is undeniable that early on the computer was heavily evolved in the United States.Fangbeast wrote:1. No, they were not. While they like to take credit for a great many things...
I'd say you do.3. I have no anti American issues personally...

When I was a young boy (A long time ago!) I don't beleive they had the accented mark on the e but I could be wrong. Still, 15 years or more of pronouncing it as "nessel" got me used to the idea.PB wrote:> A good case comes to mind from the Company "Nestle" where the word

I beg to differ. "Nestle" means snuggle, but "Nestlé" doesn't (note the accent
mark, which means the "le" is pronounced "lay"). The company doesn't spell
it as "Nestle" so it shouldn't be pronounced as "nessel".

Tsk, tsk, take a valium or 3!! This part of your argument "computer was heavily evolved the United States" might very well be trtue, but it was never invented there. Do your research and don't accuse me or anyone else of having "Anti American" sentiment merely because I mentioned a fact. It wasn't an attack on your country, it was an empirical, historically proven fact, not a personal issue.USCode wrote:We like to take credit for a great many things? Grow up and think before you make such childish comments in the future. It's blatantly offensive.
