MS Office does create PDF, but you need to buy Adobe Acrobat (not cheap).
There's plenty of freebies out there, although I use Jaws pdf creator which is not free but is a lot cheaper than Adobe's offering.

I am a MS Office user though, for the rare cases where i actually use
office software. Got it from University for both Windows and the Mac, so since
i allready have it there is no reason not to use it.

I use OpenOffice myself, but it kind of sucks a bit in beeing slower and way more bloated than MS Office will
ever be it seems.
Plus, when Office 2007 hits us in a short while, OpenOffice will look as dated as an old Windows 3.11 Proggie
in comparison.
Sorry, what can I say. Everyone knows this.

Eventually, i doubt that. And no, i didnt know that.
And how can it be more bloated? Openoffice uses 30 mbyte ram RUNNING!
and it responds as fast as notepad..

D/L any of the MS Visual Studio Express languages and check out the document explorer for an example.
That's what I call a RICH interface.
Or check out KPL, and it's interface.
Then tell me I'm wrong. Times they are a'changing, that's for shure, with Vista and all.
OpenOffice looks dated compared to that, I say.

Vista has been stripped of all features that could have made it useful

nah.. i got ms visual express languages (bloated ide's

) and yeah they are quite cool..
However you cant compare these ide's with office software. You dont need all those things in office software. You need a fast, clean, efficient interface with a quick spellcontrol and etc etc etc...
Of course you can tell that newer software looks better, however i doubt it will have tons of more features (and i also doubt that it will be less bloated) than eg. openoffice..

Of course we need this, and you know it. That's just a small teaser. We need this. Wait for MS Office 2007.
And, you Danes will probably be one of the first to grab it and move forwards.

MSOffice has VBA and COM + MsAccess which is IMHO the best RDBMS. (for small to medium-sized apps).
I'll stick with it, and gladly pay for it.
