Quite the contrary. If M$ bought PureBasic it would be to kill it, just the same as when RealBasic/Geoff Perlman killed RapidQ when he bought it and gave the developer a job.

Found RapidQ in Fall 2000 and loved it :D
14 days later Geoff bought William and the development stopped :evil:

5 month later I found PureBasic and... :wink:

Wasn't it Bill Gates that made that famous (infamous) quote many years ago about "16 K is all the memory anyone would ever need" (or something similiar). Fred would be helping Bill realize his dream at last. :)
