Also it'd be good if the tools to control the keys and such could be used to change individual keys and set certain keys to always be a certain way, that kind of thing.

Very cool tech though.
Yeah it would be cool if it came with an API enclosed in a DLL so we can create our own fades and wipes for the keys, etc.. Imagine programming an app that changes the layout depending on what app or game is currently used. Maybe it come with some software that does that already?

I can see amusing viruses being written for it and stuff.... but I personally would buy one, just cause of how cool it is and it's about time something like this hit the streets :)

Its just a 3d mockup, it wont happen until next year at least and the prototype will never sell until some more years. What? oh yes I'm negative for you, Fact is.. I tell the truth and it hurts you.

So lets see, based on current data:

if 3 keys = 120 dollars
then 100 keys = 4000 dollars, NICE INVESTMENT BOY!

DOES NOT INCLUDE SHIPMENT
Daddie needs a new sofa...

Alright, plus it lacks of design (1980..) Oh may I mention its going to be very uncomfortable for your fingers as well?.

No, really. This wont happen until 2008.
You know what an idea is worth? well now that we've got doubles I think we could manage to get the correct answer (which is much less than $0.0000001). And so, an idea and a 3d model is worth a little more, but not much more. This means you can get the worlds best ideas, but if you cant prove them, you are as good as dead to me.

The idea is ok no one says it isnt.. now to the truth, you can easily move 3 lcds.. but moving more than 100 and still keep it accesible (budget-wise)... not possible just yet. (oh by "move" I mean support).

- Plus, yes.. I had to say it. This is old news, that "company" has been showing those renders for about an year and a half already.

:!: So, for now.. dont trash your current keyboards...
This is just not going to happen for any normal user, They'll get to it (a usable prototype with some luck) But wont get much more than a few customers to buy it. Until technology gets cheaper and better (that is: let the time pass) so it can be done for all public.
