hehe thanks for the kind comments guys!
Currently working on fixing that bug, almost got the little bugger! then im going to add some more functionality (the functionality exists, just a case of unlocking the hardcoded to be parameter based) to panelex and textcontrolex and release the new version with some more code examples.
I'll revise the price too

Set the price lower, then when it gets more known and you support more languages, and get more functionality, then rise it "dynamically"
But be sure to keep the update prices very low, or just have free updates (imho)

good idea

this is probably what i'll end up doing. The only problem with free updates is that people who buy the early versions are going to get a better deal than people who buy the later more advanced and expensive versions. So i'd probably charge something like £5 each update? or the difference in price from the version the person is registered with? i don't know, we'll wait and see!

any suggestions are welcome of course, im just trying to give a fair price for people but i also have to make it worth my while for the amount of work i've put into it and will be putting into it

Of course early buyers will get a good deal

However 5£ isnt bad. But make it every major version only, as every new version will be too much. Eg if you release them fast..
OR: Have an "update deal", so you can purchase, eg 1 year of updates for 20-40% or so of the whole price, and you get free minor updates with the full version. As well as eg. major updates for another price.
Then if user has a lower version

And whats the problem with early buyers to get some advantage? Its a common marketing strategy to have some benefit from being early buyer.

It's not open source, you have to pay for it, and you don't mind ?

If it was cheap enough and the author visited the forum to fix things then I would have bought it. But as the author hardly every visits the forum or fixes things then I will never buy this. Sorry PrincieD.

Sorry you feel this way but you have to realise that I can only work on ProGUI when I have no University work to do and currently we have programming assigments coming out of our ears! that need finnishing. So I can't work on ProGUI as much as i'd like to for the time being
Just to keep everyone updated, the new price will be £15.99 when I sort out a new server to host the files on.
