I think FangBeast is working on fixing something.
Must be something big then, the post is over 5 years old
There is a huge amount of useful code 'missing' from the forum because of dead links, it is such a shame. In an ideal world, all uploads would go onto a Fantaisie server and thus never die.........

It takes time to get code just right.
Didn't even look at the date, and thought it was something new.

I agree and it would also be good to have a special place for projects and code uploads too.

I lost most everything (Old stuff between 2002 and 2005) I had back in 2005 in a huge hard disk crash not long after Beach shut down his PB storage site and I think we were almost about to move house.
Does anyone have a copy of this old source code by any chance?
Appointments.7z it was called.

...well, that was something big! I have got through a ton of drives myself, hope the next generation SSD drives will have all the answers.
Tip for saving code off-site: Open a free Google Mail account (or similar dependable service) and email your code to yourself

Would anyone possibly have a copy of my old Appointments.7z file that I used to store on Beach's site? I need to recreate this project and am having trouble.
I need to make a list based appointment manager with a category bar and made a start on it but having trouble figuring out date manipulation for past/present/future date with alarms. (As usual)

Hmm, never could find the original code and am having a hard time designing the interface.
Does anyone have some drawings of a personal list based appointment manager would look like? (I am out of layout ideas).
Desighning nice screens is not my strong suit. Bashing out crappy code is:):)

Hi Fangbeast
I really appreciated the time you spent on your interesting mealmaster program, of which I don't know if you ever finished it.
So I spent a couple of hours looking through some old archives that I had to see if I could find your file, because I kept a lot of
old stuff. But I'm sorry I just couldn't find it.
But here are a couple of links to look at some pims to get an idea from their examples of how you might like to set yours up at least.

Thanks yrreti. These days, I can't focus much. Been on the run with mother-in-law's problems for 6 months (and my own).
The mealy-mastery program thingy was largely finished but wouldn't have gotten there without InfraTec's invaluable help (and yours!!) but mostly InfraTec.
Currently too busy with the above and boredom as well.

Go FangBeast !
(cheering for you to find your code)
I'm looking too (I remember getting that file to look at some practical SQL coding).
But it was such a long time ago...

Do you still have the drive that crashed Fangbeast? Believe it or not, there is a chance that it will work one more time. One trick, which I have used (success with 1 out of 4 dead drives), is to leave the drive in the freezer for a day (honestly). If you google "revive a dead hard drive" there are a few methods worth trying.

hello Fangbeast
I saved that post that contains the code but it probably is not the latest version, I uploaded it to MediaFire

Not any more. It was a dirty great head crash so out the door it went after salvaging useful screws and magnets.

I believe you. We used to use that trick 15 years ago with great success, especially on drives which had a protruding spindle and "sticktion" problems. That and manually rotating the spindle in the hopes that the drive would unstick.
A head crash is one of those things you just have to walk away from and only a professional cool room with $2,000.00 to spare can fix. One of my friends purchased the first SeaGate glass platter drives and he said "Head crash? Try drive implosion!!" Apparently, when the head crashed, the entired drive came apart internally and smashed the platters.
Ahh, the good old days! I find it hard to sit here and code lately, bored.

Wow! You wonderful bloke, I'de send you my daughter as a thank you but she'd kill me if she found out. (He, he, he, he, he).
Lots of work to do on it, I can't remember using EL_Choni's SQLite code in ages, got started on this with his help.
Going to rewrite it with the latest compiler and see how to get unbored. Already designed the front screen with MattaHan'S buuf icon set and hoping it will look more modern than the ones I usually use but I am certainly no interface designer (or coder!! Shaddap srod!)
YAYAY!
P.S I backup to 3 different locations now that we have a little money to spare:)
