So, if your native language is not English, could you post and tell us what your first language is?
Although I am an American, born and raised, my native language is Tsalagi (Cherokee). English has always been a second language for me.

i thought this topic was about NATIVE language :shock:

Forstår nok ikke HVERT eneste ord på svensk og dansk, men jeg forstår mer dansk og svensk jeg jeg forstår nynorsk som er en dialekt. Det blir mye som forskjellig dialekt, er du ikke enig da?

-Ok my native language is German.
-My second language is English
-My third language is french but its really really hard though i think German isn´t much easier for foreign people.
-Im also able to understand Bavarian and Swiss German^^
But I neither speak Spanish nor Portuguese

Ja der er en kæmpe forskel på nynorsk og gammel norsk! Det er meget nemmere at forstå gammeldags norsk for mig.

Norsk and Svensk and Densk are not Chinese ! Chinese is a possible way using babelfish not those keywords exist in the combobox.

@Nik,

Luv to see you tell Bavarian and Swiss German .. these are so much different from German !
My avatar is a small copy of the 4x1.8m image I created and exposed at 'Le salon international du meuble à Paris' january 2004 in Matt Sindall's 'Shades' designers exhibition. The original laminated print was designed using a 150 dpi printout.

I am even not sure how people write danish in danish, swedish or norwegian, really sorry for this, but even if I had to communicate with much people from Scandinavia, I do not remember all usual words I got at this time.

It was in the 80's ... and since I did never cross up to there.

But in intentions, I respect people from there and anywhere. Languages are the most important jewel the humans ever made.

Because when looking one side of the diamond, the lights and colors (not colours, this is my way !!!) are not the the same.
