Please do! would be nice to see different aspects as I recognize there are a lot of different approuches to write such a game. Me myself rewrote this simple engine totally 3 times as I found out other ways to handle the graphics.

Kale wrote:Very nice work! I've recently started playing Eye Of The Beholder II again and this looks very similar and reminds me of great times i had playing these types of games on the Amiga.

I might have a go myself at writing a game similar to EOBII too, as these are my faves :)
I finished all of the eye of the beholder series!

Take note:
On the deepest levels there are walls that are illusions and you can go through them! If you don't find them you won't be able to end the game!

Took me a month to find them all out

I know, i've played them before  but i reckon these was probably the best games i ever played on the Amiga so i've just started EOBII again to re-live some memories. :D

It was quite a tricky game series with spinning tiles and secret walls and puzzles. :) When EOBI first came out i got stuck in a room and took the game back to the shop saying i couldn't get out of a room and it must be a bug. The shop keeper smiled and said check your compass at every step in that room. He was right i was being teleported and spun around 180°!!! Since then i was hooked!!!!

Do you have any web links for these old games & how they were built? I'd be very interested to see how they were tackled. Thanks.

The old games cannot of course be bought anymore so *cough cough* http://www.the-underdogs.org is the place to find these games. No other facts that I know of:(

Check out Dungeon Master and EyeOfTheBeholder I & II at first.
