This is awesome!! 8) This is a showcase PureBasic 2D game, IMHO!! I had to show it off to my wife to prove to her I made a great choice in purchasing PureBasic. She was very impressed.

Good thing you didn't have to justify buying something like VB... ;)

Funny! The sad thing is that has been my primary development environment for 9 years. Now don't make me write a Tetris clone to prove VB can write wicked cool games.

I originally programmed in C/C++ and then moved to VB, disliked it at first, became lazy and dependent on it. Not my fault, though, that's what most my employers wanted me to use. I've only done very little C++ since. Sometimes 1/2 my code in VB is API usage.

This is where VB programmers really have to thank M$ for opening our eyes. Since they introduced .NET I've really come to the conclusion that although I've convinced myself a 1.6MB run-time DLL is not too bad a 20-30MB run-time is. Some jumped on the bandwagon and others jumped ship. Although work still has me develop VB and ASP code (and they are moving to .NET) my personal development is split between zApp and PureBasic (each one for its appropriate task.) I am loving PureBasic, though, and I am very excited about its future!

Yeah I used VB from 3.0 to 6.0 Enterprise Edition... haven't touched it in
about 4 years.
