Can't we get this some other "normal" way, like an URL? I don't want to download
one app just so I can download another. :(
The Universal-interner-updater is in the japbe directory.

This link also work:
http://gpihome.de/uiu/japbe/beta/japbe.exe
But please only use the UIU, because only a few files have change.

Oh, I didn't know that. I'll use it when I get home then. Thanks!
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

jaPBe runs in infinite loop

Post by Tranquil »

After starting the latest Version of jaPBe it runs in an infinite loop with 100% CPU load.

Statuswindows schows last rows "Loading Interface-List...." twice.

@Tranquil
Does the Original ide run?
What happen, when you delete the japbe.pref (rename it!)

@gnozal
Sorry, can't repoduce? Do you use a Proxy or something like this?
Can you retry it? May be a short problem with the server?

@GPI:
the original IDE works. I deinstalled the jaPBe Beta and installed an old one from your site which works great. This only appears at work. (Windows 2000 System) I noticed also some problems while starting the compiler under high CPU usage.

More tomorrow, I will try to reproduce and reduce the error while using the JaPBE source.

Cheers

The jaPBe source is at the moment a old one. But i don't change anything in the Structure-list-loading...

I downloaded the package from the link provided above (I previously had a version without the updater). When I install it and fire up the updater all I get is :

Connect... Search Info... abort - 404

I'm using v2.4.9.25 and there's no such updater in my jaPBe install...?
I had to download the full version from the URL you gave instead.
Also, I tried the UIU from the full version and I also get a 404 error.
I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

That was it, I hadn't selected the beta release..

Now I get that "constant can't have a type" error on the last line of any piece of sorce I try to compile... I get a POLINK error using the normal IDE so I don't know if it is a PB thing or a jaPBe thing...

it's a jaPBe bug. a source that is ok. compiles fine with the PB IDE.
(this is a source I know is ok).

But jaPBE spits out the "constant can not be a type" error,
and shows the line number of te last line of the source.

Maybe jaPBE need a lil update to handle the changes in PB compiler return values/text?
