I have something to discuss here.
iTunes seems a program to browse for music and to buy music online. Well, if you buy music which is password protected; is it illegal to unprotect your own purchased music? Why?

Because you only licensed the music for listening on one to xx devices (depends on the licensing scheme).

This is the same with software, if you only purchase one license, you're
only allowed to install it on one single computer, no matter if the installation
CD may work on hundreds of computers.

Actually, it depends on the license. PureVision can legally be installed on
multiple machines, for example. :)
