America is still a joke, or a terrorist country, depending on what country you live in. I'm in alaska, and I believe it is the "later".

Speaking from (not for) the US, I had the good fortune of spending nearly a year outside the US as I entered my teens (south of the border, down through Panama). Today, I feel nothing but hopeless depression when I look at the general US population. It is not that they are uneducated. They are just plain ignorant and excedingly selfish. We are all aware of world poverty, but too engrossed with pride and selfishness to be human about it. They haven't seen whole villages living in cardboard boxes and palm leaves first hand as I have, at a young age and before their hearts turned callous.

...It will be Americans. If they can't have it for themselves, then they'll blow it up (the world that is). Not Globalization, Americanization.
When the president officially declared war here after 9/11, he called it the "War on Terrorism"... NOT on Iraq. Then when he couldn't put his finger on the "terrorist group", he turned it into a war on Iraq becuase he felt he was loosing face in the (US) public eye. His first term so he knew he had to buckle under and do something or he would surely lose the next election. Win at any cost, exploit who you can, lie, cheat and steal what you must to achieve - - that is the Amreican way. (gag)

Don't forget too, the US was built on violence and war to begin with. People here lie to each other from birth. Its no wonder to me they choose to ignore world conditions. Weakness is something to be frowned upon if not exploited. Its what our schools teach. Every TV ad produced in the US is based on fear. Lawyers thrive on it. Make the masses fear loss and you can exploit them to no end. Look at our ads (yours too probably) and without exception, you will be ugly, feel old, poor or rejected if you do not buy their products, if not all the above.

French Fries :( Perfect example of excessive pride and ignorance. We are a very large country compared to the the rest of the world. Just like the French, or any other country, we are all victums of pride. Comparitively, France is the size of a single US state, yet France has pride enough to stand and be heard, even if they aren't big enough to threaten world destuction as we can. In our ignorance, we (with our excessive pride) have the nerve to condem the French for that weakness. The US is indeed quite ignorant. Condeming others for their weaknesses is the easiest way to make yourself appear superior. This is the common mentality in this country. It is practiced on TV, in movies, stand up comedy, school grounds and the common workplace.

Want to hear something really sick? I had a severe health problem a couple years back and went to the local doctors office. I had not eaten or slept or even sat down for 3 days (72 hrs) so I was feeling rather ragged. As I entered I saw a young lady, obviously on her own, barely able to sit in the chair. They called her first of course. When they called me in, she was at the desk with obvious finacial probelms. I tried to offer my assistance, to pay her bill so that they would not send her away. I was scourned for having offered and she was sent away. Now I am banned from that facility for my compassion. So you see. It is not only weakness they frown on here. Compassion too is not well tolerated.

I found a wallet and its contents spread out in an intersection. I took the time to gather up all the items, take them home and call the owner. They came to my house and scourned me for not minding my own business. Naturally they took their stuff but not without a departing snarl.

What do others think of us (or US if your prefer)? They fear us, they hate us and they think we are heartless. And rightlully so.

If it wasnt for the following, I would actually move out of this pro-terrorism country (USA):

1. There are no decent jobs in other countries.
2. It is harder then hell to get approved immigrant status in other countries.
3. No decent internet (tons of ISPs are overpriced).

Hell, if there is a coutry that has it's head out of it's... well (you know...), let me know....

2. It is harder then hell to get approved immigrant status in other countries.
well, not allways. Denmark isnt that hard on outlanders, im sure u are welcome. :P
3. No decent internet (tons of ISPs are overpriced).
Oh well, denmark is not the best place for cheap connections. But Sweden is pretty sweet cheap, and also germany. I think germany is very cheap somewhere, and have fast connections to decent price.

But well, in denmark you can get big connections if you pay for it.
A big line is b-one.net a host. Their line 2 denmark is 1000 MBits (1 gbit).
And thats not the greatest line. but yes its overpriced normally, but its getting better.

this was just denmark germany and sweden.
