Actually, I took the largest integer value you can represent in a long and tried to extend the precision of the constant to handle it properly, and that is where you will find a problem, as the number of places required for sufficient precision is beyond the length of 32 bits.

Great trick, though. I'm going to keep playing with it for a bit. I realize that the x86 instruction set and registers are embedded so deeply in our culture that we may never be rid of them, but we would gain so much if there were a serious rethink of the whole concept of how a modern CPU should be organized and programmed.
