Fred, Fr34k, Benny, Andre, and anyone else that has worked or is still working on Purebasic has done a wonderful job and they all deserve a round of applause.

I'm constantly on websites trying to turn people on to Purebasic and the power behind it.

I tell them that if they are doing a PC or Mac program/game and want it to run on future versions of windows then get Purebasic.

I used to be big BlitzBasic 3D fan, but since Blitz has a hard time working on Windows 7 I switched full time now to Purebasic for my PC programming and have never regretted that decision or looked back.

Now to be fair I also program in Flashdevelop ( still learning AS3), and RJ Edit for my HTML5/Javascript, CSS3 needs, but that is only because I plan on starting my own web game and need to know all these languages too. But trust me when i say that if I could, I'd program my web pages in Purebasic also!. its just that damn fun to program in.

So in closing, thanks to all involved. even if Purebasic stayed the way it is right now, today, I'd be happy to use it everyday, because, basically, i already do :)..

Thanks again Fantaisie , from (Link0101 , Ken Miller)

Same for me. I only update PureBasic these days if it really does something new that I need, or fixes a bug that existed. Normally I don't need to update with every release like I did in the past. It really has matured that much.

Currently PB supports only the x86/x64 compatible PC classic desktop mode of current and future Windows versions,
but Windows runs on more platforms and devices now.
At least for games, more and more users/customers move to mobile, tablet, console platforms. Same will happen for many
applications in the near future.

LOL, games are just the main area where tablets suck badly for me. There are so many dumbed down and uncontrollable games categories ported to tablet from PC (or its poor cousin Console). Flapping fingers on an underpowered device it's not the best way to use a flight simulator or to direct your FPS hero. It's not casual if AI is dumber than the already dumb AI we have in PC games. You have to compensate for the total lack of dexterity and precision of the user, robbed of mouse, keyboard, joystick, throttle, wheel, etc. and with less power, less memory, less storage.
There is a place for some games on tablets, but the current trend seem to offer them as the new gaming platform of choice for everything.
This is also applicable to many applications categories where creativity is horribly cramped and limited on tablets and sold as the best thing anyway.
But this is offtopic so I stop here. And the reality is you are right.

Yea, I normally dont like to go off topic, laughs.., but I find games on my Droid to be a pain to play,
if its like a match 3 game, its ok, but anything that needs a game pad controller, like Nintendo emulators and such just blow on tablets.

My gf has now taken ownership of my tablet, while I moved back to my windows XP enhanced dell laptop and my Windows 7 dell desktop.

I think people will be coming back to PC games after they get a taste of how horrible some games control on Droids and other tablets.

One of the reasons i'm workin on a web game right now, for both the PCs and Droids. as well as other systems. is to keep making them for the PC also.

And what i meant about Purebasic working on future versions of Windows was basically a compliment on how well behaved it is on PC's with windows 7 on it now.

You are right, no one knows what the future of Desktop OS's will be. lets all hope its not Windows 8, god awful OS. reminds me of Vista. gives me shivers just thinking that Windows 8 maybe be the PCs future OS. i'll go Mac, i swear I will lol

But in closing, I play games mostly on my PC, Starcraft 1 and 2, Diablo 3, World of Warcraft, now and then. All my emulators, N64, Nintendo 8 bit, SuperNes ,Genesis, PS2,Gameboy,ect... ;)

I do use my Droid as my newspaper and for reading all my programming PDFs now though, its nice to have all your books in one spot and on one device.

And I even put chronicles Of Amber (all 10 books) on my Droid and my Kindle. some light reading ya know ;)

Using a controler like iControlPad, playing on smart phone is a blast.
They are actualy not very limited in power, todays ARM's are very powerfull. Problem is there are a lot of slopy coders out there. Emulators are actualy working wonderfull, if you try some that are specificly made for mobile devices like PicoDrive or gbSP. There are also some very good ports of emulators with a lot of original work done like PCSX-ReARMed, works like a charm.

The only problem are the controls and battery time, both can be fixed by usind a controler like iControlPad.
