Powerbasic
There's a few real pro's over there (as here too of course) that would be nice to have on these forums.
MCM probably has too much support code to make a switch though
Eric sells SQL Tools so could increase his sales
Hutch might get sick of the neocons and move then we'd have an ASM guru from hell
(Yeah, the MASM32 project guy)
Paul Squires and Chriss Boss could generate more sales if they supported PureB too!
There's plenty of others, I hope I don't offend them by not mentioning them as they have helped me countless times and if I wasn't on Shiraz glass number 4 I'd probably remember their names
Bob can go down with the ship though!

One nice ting about the Powerbasic forums that PureBasic users should know about is that
there's lot's of nice API code/algorithms posted over there that you can easily translate
into PureBasic and use in your own projects
Seems there's a lot of cunning people posting over there, so I check it out from time to
time.

Aye, those forums have provided me with some quite valuable code from time to time as there are indeed some very knowledgable and skilled programmers thereabouts. In fact if I fail to locate an answer to a problem in these forums, the powerbasic ones are always my next stop.
If that doesn't work I turn on the bat signal!

I may look like a mule, but I'm not a complete ass.
Yup! They have a specific category called "Source code" where members can post code to share, everything from just a function to a full application. I too check it out if I can't find a solution here. The only thing I kept from the PowerBASIC install was the help file to use as a reference when translating code.utopiomania wrote:One nice ting about the Powerbasic forums that PureBasic users should know about is that there's lot's of nice API code/algorithms posted over there that you can easily translate into PureBasic and use in your own projects

Hehehe. Don't forget to do a Google search too, with "vb" in the search
terms -- for example: "vb empty trash". That way, you usually get a lot
of links to Visual Basic source codes which translate easily to PureBasic.

I compile using 5.31 (x86) on Win 7 Ultimate (64-bit).

They do say you get a 30 day money back guarantee, but from my experience with other software vendors I have to wonder if they actually homor it.gebe wrote:NO ! You pay ...you get your demo + pay for the delivery by E-MailTrond wrote:Does PowerBasic have a demo version?
You can always contact them and ask to be removed from their mailing list; that's what I did, then to be sure I didn't get anymore e-mails from them I added them to my blocked senders list.gebe wrote:I still get the "nice" Emails telling me how great they are.

Too dangerous to speek about any "Free"stuff ...GeoTrail wrote:Or, you can send them a mail saying, if you reply to this email or send me any other email correspondence of any kind, you agree to give me a free license to PowerBasic and a free lifetime upgrade. hehehehe
That could give somebody there a heart attack
I also asked to be removed from their list ,to no avail.
