I will need to install the latest beta version of PB and then tinker with the code now that certain bugs have been fixed with PB.

Beta 3 of PB x64 has replaced one problem with a bug and so you'll have to await beta 4 now!

Versions for PB 4.2 and 4.3 have now been added to the nxSoftware site. The version for PB 4.3 runs on both x86 and x64 (Windows).

I'm sorry to exhume this thread but it seems that pb 5.20 broke the drag & drop event handling from easyvent.
Both the examples related to drag and drop are affected, so it should not be an error from my own code.
Will you fix it? (I would totally understand if you don't want to work on a 5yo lib :p)

The main window proc (not the PB event loop) is no longer receiving #PB_Event_GadgetDrop and #PB_Event_WindowDrop events. You'll need to ask Fred or Freak about that. It was only ever a hack on EasyVENT's part anyhow.

A lot of the event stuff is now built-in to PureBasic now anyhow.

I am well thanks; not checked in for ages and so didn't see your post. It looks quite busy over here. No time for coding unfortunately and so have no idea what has been transpiring PB wise.

@Poshu : I know it's sometime since you made the request for me to fix the OLE drag/drop aspect of EasyVENT following the alterations made by Purebasic 5.20, but, well, better late than never!
The truth is that I have only now returned to some coding (albeit part time) and so it is only now that I have found the time to investigate this properly.
There is now a version of EasyVENT compatible with Purebasic 5.21 LTS which does indeed fix the drag/drop issues. Of course it is still a wrapper around PB's OLE drag/drop functionality, but it is more flexible, easily allowing for drags from just about all gadgets (as opposed to just a few).
