This is one Visual Basic programmer that is glad to have found pure basic.
I do not think it is how many there are now, but how many are moving over to pure basic
After trying VB.NOT and attempting to find out how long Microsoft would support the new version it became apparent that Microsoft, in my opinion, are simply attempting to part me and my money. Once sales fall they then "Enhance" the product and sell it again to all us poor saps.

Just to stirr the Pot again ....
And to come back with some fancy ideas out of IRC ( Hi Fangles ! )
new programming language: "G"
A new "Groundlevel" Language called "G" .... Specialized to develop "a perfect nerdy Girlfriend which is even Vista-Screensafer compatible ! .. for workbreaks !)
If you ever heard of Widgets they are called Nipplets in G .. plus you got powerful Functions like: Mensa() / Headache(Days.VeryLong) - Note the . defines the Variable type and VeryLong is in Fact a double .. ( i might add quads for non-blondes at a later time ...) *g*
headache() is a cheap example but ideally if you need at least 1 day ( 24h ) break ! Truly it represents a sleep(86400000) ...
Then theres a very powerful Expressioncommandset called:
MaybeIF(regexp.STRING)
OKok.. too much Sun here !
