Unfortunately I need to take a break for a day or so. I just bent my pinky the wrong way. I don't think it's broken.

Nice but I have a question:
A game or a 3D render example of a sitting cat?
@Carm3D
Are you loosing the focus?

Re: Fracturetrix Game Announcement Video
I know what you are getting at. The cat is not part of the game play.. He is there for delivering tutorials (and occasional snark). This is purely a marketing decision. My first game did not sell well at all.. It's pathetic how poorly it sold. So I felt this game needed personality / character infused into it. I knew it would be a lot of work to bring him into the game, but I think it should be well worth it when he's in there.IceSoft wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 7:31 am Nice but I have a question:

Also, he is not "just" a 3D render of a sitting cat. He will move. He can lean side to side, raise up a bit, or stoop down for hitting various poses... And of course his head is animated too.
I would have liked to just finish the game and put it out there, but I was too concerned that this would be another repeat of the first game if I did that... It needs something more special for it to stand out and grab attention.

I think the gameplay is the core of each game...it should be make fun.Carm3D wrote: Fri Feb 06, 2026 10:24 am I would have liked to just finish the game and put it out there, but I was too concerned that this would be another repeat of the first game if I did that...
