Word Clock and Moon Phases

Post by PhM »

Hi,

I am new to this English forum but have been a member of the French forum since 2019.

I have almost finished a word clock that also displays the current moon phases.

This project is detailed on the French forum at this address: https://www.purebasic.fr/french/viewtopic.php?t=19408

The optimized PB code that may be of interest to you can be found on page 5: https://www.purebasic.fr/french/viewtop ... 8&start=60.

I have also created a presentation document in English, which can be downloaded at this address: https://uploadnow.io/f/D7723mf.

I hope you find it useful...

Philippe

It's finished and ready to hang on the wall!

It's difficult to photograph because the light reflects like a mirror. There's even the entire manufacturing file (hard & soft) on board for posterity!

We are very close to the end of this project. Tomorrow, I will start the final installation (electricity and drilling)...

Great work!

How did you create C++ for the controller from the Purebasic code?

Thank you for your positive comments.

Well, I created an Arduino library (LunaPhases.h) based on the PB program for the part that calculates the lunar phases. Otherwise, the rest of the code is classic Arduino with management of LEDs, GNSS, brightness sensor, and speaker.

Conversion details:

Transforming a set of PureBasic functions (e.g., astronomical calculations) into an Arduino library (LunaPhases) that can be reused in an Arduino sketch.
All the details are here: https://www.purebasic.fr/french/viewtop ... 75#p219375
