However, the RDS pricing is tripping me up, big time. I am lost on the concept of instance charges vs uptime charges, and on-demand and reserved-instance pricing. There's even mention of per GB per hour usage rates. And some seem to suggest that RDS billing could spiral to upwards of $500 and more, dependent on the monthly data traffic in and out of the db.
