Thank you very much in advance!
This will be fixed in the next update thanks to mk-soft's amazing SetGadgetCallback Module.

(PM me if you'd like to beta test the next update)

Firstly, apologies for not replying sooner (health issues already resolved :) ).
In theory it should work without such a callback, as it works correctly in Paul's designer.

Unfortunately, I have abandoned purevision for many years now, all because of the really annoying protection system, every single time I have to install it I have to send an email, wait for the code to be sent to me, otherwise I would probably still be using it today...I hope that sooner or later that protection system will be removed...

It is the choice @Paul made and I personally have no problem with it. Every x years or months I have to ask him for the licence, but he is very quick to respond :)

For me it's a must-have as long as it's the only one that allows fast multi-window editing in the same project.

And for those who can't wait for an email response, simple go to the PureVision website and get a license update yourself :D

Of course you have to hope that you live as long as possible and nothing ever happens to you, otherwise those who have purevision will not be able to use it anymore, so long live Paul, anyway all jokes aside, I don't understand what the heck is the point of this annoying protection system, those who don't want to buy it download it from pirate sites, the people who want to support you will buy the license, so the annoyance you create only to legitimate users, having said that the function on the site asks for the last key used and if one doesn't remember it or doesn't have the email with the key anymore what does one do? in short I just see a lot of unnecessary complications...

Paul's been supporting PV for over 20+ years and I've never had a problem with the license.

Are you complaining just because you can or do you have something specific bothering you? Why not address this in Paul's own web site rather than the free PureBasic forum which is not for supporting commercial software as the fact that you can is just a courtesy on Fred's part.

And since you abandoned it, what have you to complain about?

I know that as I get older, I complain too much but in all fairness, that one was correct to target. Like Fred, Paul has been supporting his product for over 20+ years and that's amazing, nobody else in business ever lasted so long.

I had a pacemaker shoved in my chest last year because I got given 3 to 6 months to live and I honestly think PB & PV (I feel a song jingle coming on here) along with the pacemaker has kept me going, using my tiny brain and not giving up.

I've also outlasted many people here that I really liked, either they moved on or died and I'm still here. That makes me even more grateful (Sad too, very sad)

I'd like to mention someone who has helped my moaning bum so much over the years in the background but he is shy, he has also kept my trying when I wanted to just walk away:):)

Wait, what? From now, or was this last year and you've exceeded that timeframe? WTF?

It's a bit complicated and not for spamming the forum with my problems. If you are bored, I will be happy to explain privately.

Meanwhile here no one is questioning Paul's support and as soon as he gets the email he sends the code, the only thing that bothers me is the registration system which serves no purpose, it doesn't protect from pirates who ckack it as if nothing happened, it's just a hassle for people like me who reinstall several times a year, of the activation system through the site I was not aware of it, but I tried to use it and I could not because I did not have an old key to enter, then the fact that I have stated here my “personal” thought is because the software has its own thread, having said that it is obvious that Paul is to be admired for ihis support over the years, regards.

To be honest, I understand completely. When I was very young, I was a Microsoft Sales Partner and always adhered to protecting people's right's to their software and always saw people in the same business around me regularly flout their pirated software with not a care in the world.

Still, I believe that even if an author goes 'offline' for some reason or another, I will continue to do the right thing and just go on to the next thing and the next thing if the current one ceases to be, that way I can also continue. Things always change.

What upset me here is some of the worst pirates are in our Police department, have seen many of them.
