I think I have finally nailed it.
Grab a copy of "FontForge.exe"
For each font you have to change one field.
Open the font in FontForge.
In the Font Information menu,
choose OS/2
and change the" Embeddable" field from "Editable Document" to "Installable Font"
Save using File/Generate Fonts...
Install the changed font.
I have successfully done this for 3 of the Futura fonts before I decided to declare that it works.
There might be a way to make the change easier but that is well outside my skill level.
Time to see what font they used on my Whisky bottle I think.

Suitable fonts for DrawVectorText()?
Re: Suitable fonts for DrawVectorText()?
Hello Jim, thank you very much for your tip. I will give it a try.
Thanks also for the tip with FontForge. It seems I can use it to convert otf fonts to ttf fonts. That also helps me enormously
Kind regards
Dige
