Trying to add additional compiler gives "cannot read version"

Post by ozzie »

I've been using PB 6.00 (x64 Windows) for sometime now, and I want to include the x86 compiler as an additional compiler under Preferences / Compilers. However, when I try to add this, PB reports "Cannot read version".

Is there some setting or permission I need to change?

It works for me.
Maybe there are blanks in the path to the compiler. This may be the reason

(Resolved) Trying to add additional compiler gives "cannot read version"

Sorted it out. I had added PureBasic.exe as an additional compiler instead of Compilers\pbcompiler.exe.
