Customising the IDE - Autocomplete

Post by spikey »

There is a problem with the 'Customising the IDE' help article section regarding autocomplete.
The IDE behaviour with regard to closing keywords has been changed but this article hasn't been updated.

The current text says:
Add matching ‘End' keyword if Tab/Enter is pressed twice
If you press Tab or Enter twice, it will insert the corresponding end keyword (for example "EndSelect" to "Select" or "EndIf " to "If") to the keyword you have just inserted. The end keyword will be inserted after the cursor, so you can continue typing after the first keyword that was inserted.

The fixed Tab/Enter shortcuts have been replaced by a customisable one.

I suggest an edit as below, but see also the bug report regards the control's label before updating. https://www.purebasic.fr/english/viewtopic.php?t=79580

Add matching 'End' keyword if insert shortcut is repeated

Where the selected keyword has a complementary end keyword, for example "EndSelect" to "Select" or "EndIf" to "If"; the insert shortcut sequence (default Tab) can be repeated a second time to automatically add this text too. The end keyword will be inserted after the cursor, so you can continue typing after the first keyword that was inserted.
