Realistic Clocks

Post by OgreVorbis »

I'm now releasing the beta version of my program called Realistic Clocks. The most radi(c)al clock prog around!

It makes a desktop clock widget of your choosing. It has four different clocks, but will have more in the future. There's many clock apps out there, but this one aims to make the clocks very realistic. It has an animated pendulum clock, traditional analog wall clock, and two nixie tube clocks.

The EXE is fully standalone (aside from MyClocks.ini and one clock face png). All other clocks are embedded. You may edit the one AnalogClock.png to your liking, however. To use it, you just need to launch the EXE. Left click drags the clock around. Right click gives you a menu of options.

In the future there will be more pendulum clocks, a cuckoo clock, and chimes.

I need someone to test on Windows 10 (I only use 7). I'm not sure if I need the DPI option for this or not.

The source code is not included in this beta. I'm not sure if I'm going to sell this or not yet. If not, then the final will contain the source code under Schrodinger's license (for personal use only).

Here's the download 64-bit: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=down ... KAcIZRS-3B

If you were hesitating, here's a screenshot of several instances running at the same time with many clocks. It's recommended to use one clock at a time. Let me know how it works for you and if you have any clock suggestions ...

A new version is available on my website now: http://dosaidsoft.com/wp/2022/03/25/rea ... ocks-v1-5/

There may be some small bugs in the chimes and alarm, let me know.

Number 5 looks so wrong. Can that be redesigned? Looks like an upside-down "2" (even though it isn't).

I know, but that's realistic. Real nixie tubes look exactly like that. I have some. However, someone is helping me with the graphics and designed new nixie tubes which may be featured in the next version. I'm just not sold on the font it uses though. Also it shouldn't move around slightly like these do.
