1000th post

Post by Karbon »

This is to be my 1000th post, I thought I would make it a "thank you" post to everyone involved in the development and support of PureBasic.

I started using PB last summer after a friend suggested it as an alternative to BlitzBasic for applications - I never start Blitz again. Being a Unix guy and mostly a web based programmer I never thought the day would come that I would take the Windows plunge, never mind actually enjoy it!

PB allowed me to jump right into the mix and now, almost a year later, I have 4 commercial projects out written in PB and am enjoying programming once again. Windows ain't so bad after all :-)

So -- my most sincere thanks to everyone here for the help and to the PB team for an awesome language!

(I'll go take my ass kissing lips off now!) :-)

We know about kapital-billing, what are the other 3?

Do you make your living out of these products? If so, you're living my dream :)

The other three are custom applications - and I should have really said 2 as the 3rd of that group is still in development.. A catalog utility for an RV parts wholesaler, a drag race tracking utility (wrote it for a local racing team) and the 3rd that is really just getting started is a desktop software for recruiters - much like monster.com for your desktop..

I don't make all my living off those yet but it has been a good percentage of it in the last 6 months..

I've been working for myself for about 3.5 years now, it has been wonderful - I'll never work for anyone else again!

[edit]
Kapital is changing it's name to kBilling as soon as I update the website - there is a forum link off the page to the new 1.2 if anyone is interested... And remember, PB users get kBilling for free :-)
