Connecting an Android Phone App and a Micro-controller (e.g. Arduino) via BlueTooth is very easy.
What is not easy is sending text to a Desktop PC (64bit) that's fitted with a Bluetooth USB Dongle from an Android phone.
I just need to pass plain text data to a PC program written in PB.
Has anyone done this?

Re: Bluetooth USB dongle
Talking to myself - found a programmable dongle which looks promising: Silicon Labs BLED112

@IdeasVacuum: what are you planning to do with it? I'm asking because I'm working on iBeacon and EddyStone stuff right now.

Re: Bluetooth USB dongle
Hi Dige
It serves two purposes. On site collection of data on an Android smartphone, shared later with a Pure Basic program on Windows 7/10. Also going to use it as a dongle, to discourage the use of the PB software on more seats than those paid for.
