As I don't know many about Tesla, in this case, whose fault is this for the police/the law? The driver's or the car's company?
Thanks.
It appears that even of the police say it's the Tesla drivers fault, the insurance company can still put the blame on me if that reduced their cost.
I got a copy of the damage report from the Tesla owners insurance company and he is now claiming that the driver of the Tesla was his son, who is 19 years old. When I clearly saw that the driver was in his mid, late 50's with grey hair.
So I'm guessing the "real" driver of the car has too many points on his license and is afraid to loose it if he gets blamed for the accident. I've been driving cars motorcycles and semitrucks almost continually for over 25 years now and I don't have any points on my license.

But nomatter what rules they make, someone always tries to get around them, and often do. So I guess I just have to prepare for the worst. But I'm not going to accept responsibility of any wrongdoing on my part.

Yeah it’s crazy. Here in Norway and most other countries, it’s illegal to use your phone while driving. Yesterday I saw a tweet from Elon Musk about how excited he was to roll out an update for the Tesla’s that allows “drivers” to watch Netflix in the car. And that thing is legal. It’s freaking nuts. And they want to ban electric scooters because a few dummies got killed or hurt

... I think you're taking it a little out of context: with the car standing still, if I recall correctly.

I think the whole episode has little to do with Tesla, and more with an idiotic driver, to be honest. My ex-wife drives so bad, even a Tesla on auto-pilot wouldn't make it to the second turn on her way home
