If I understand it correctly..
I also created such a tool years ago, until someone pointed out to me that there is a tiny little paper icon to the left of 'Posted' in the top section of a post.

it's next to '.. by username' when logged in. But maybe some forum styles don't have it?

Do you know how many people don't know this small icon

And ... maybe there are other forums with an qoute button but without such a small icon.

Btw. I wrote also a forums tool long time ago:
It plays a sound if a special person login.
It was for a dog forum, so it barks if this user login

I just looked for my old code and found that I already made a version for the PB forum an I posted the code for the PurePunch Demo contest 2012

Unfortunately it does not fit the new forums version. So I have to spend a bit of time.
