If it sounds simple, you have not grasped the complexity.

Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
You need to report that to Chrome, not here. Only Chrome can get it whitelisted.
Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
You can override Chrome's blocking by clicking "DETAILS" on that red warning page. Then when Chrome then blocks a downloaded file: CTRL+J or go to chrome://downloads/ and you can choose to keep it.
Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
It's the zip file that he can't download; not the website itself. Look at his screenshot.
Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
Ah, sorry!
And right click on link and save as does neither work?

Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
Yep, this link is blocked :
http://www.purearea.net/pb/download/use ... toitx3.zip
My own link to the BF packet is not blocked :
http://www.purearea.net/pb/download/mod ... ard_BF.zip
It seems the content was scanned.
The name autoit and userlibs suggests that

Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
Under Firefox it is also blocked.
Therefore, it does not matter what you enter in the URL: http://www.purearea.net/pb/download/use ... ic.forever
@Andre
Can you rename the folder to "userlibrary" and change all links?
I can confirm that. "userlibs" is a bad word.walbus wrote:It seems the content was scanned.

Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
Yep. Same here.RSBasic wrote:Under Firefox it is also blocked
Here's a list from VirusTotal about what is "infected" there (scroll down after it loads):
https://www.virustotal.com/#/domain/www.purearea.net
Maybe those files need to be removed? Just host the sources, and not the exes?
Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
If 67 engines and not least (like Eset, Avira, Kaspersky, BitDefender) find the file healthy and 3 find it suspicious, who to believe?
Disable this feature of your browsers (see options), buy a good AV (ie: one of the 4 I quoted). Your AV (if AV with Internet functions) do the same thing. No need to slow down your machine twice.
PS.
For HTTPS: It's not because a site is in HTTPS that it's safe, it's just that the site bought a certificate for the serveur. For security, no person other than the site administrator should be allowed to upload files to a site in https.
For file certificat: Only one person must have the password to sign a file in a company, otherwise it is useless. Signs anything it's worse than not signing.

Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
PureArea.net is hosting many archives (sources + Exes), which weren't touched for years.
As they are available since a long time, and surely downloaded + used by PB users before, there shouldn't be any viruses etc.
Chrome and some other issues are bad, but for reworking the website there is no time for now...
Anyway I will keep the hints in mind, so thank you!

If you click on details etc, it gives the impression that you can download, but after a few seconds:
"autoitx3.zip is dangerous, Chrome has blocked it"
The owner of the site needs to raise a complaint to Google.

Using Let's Encrypt it is completely free. No costs at all.
The english grammar is freeware, you can use it freely - But it's not Open Source, i.e. you can not change it or publish it in altered way.
Re: PureAreaDotNet Blocked by Google Chrome
Yep. But your hosting provider has to allow it, though. I use MyDomain.com and they won't let me use free SSL; I have to pay extra to get SSL support for my website. Not sure if that's legal, but I guess it is if they're doing it? Anyone know?NicTheQuick wrote:Using Let's Encrypt it is completely free. No costs at all.
