Changing the state, on the fly, of a StringGadget would be helpful:
SetGadgetState(#StrGadget, #PB_ReadOnly)
SetGadgetState(#StrGadget, #PB_Writeable)

Usefull in database apps but have found enable\disable to be usefull that way.
