when I say open they're more like cracked open as we don't want the parrot to escape but it's rarely less than 10 degrees C here during waking hours
and I prefer a well ventilated house as opposed to getting condensation on the windows as the temperature drops overnight.
Seriously compared to European houses, we live in barns or shacks, down south it's not such fun but there's nothing quite like standing in front of the fridge
first thing of a morning when you wake up to -4C in the house, down south they call fridges student heaters since we all know student cant afford luxuries like heating!

There are some pot plants that are very easy to grow (very hard to kill!), inexpensive, hardly need any TLC, and don't need much light or water ... so what's your excuse for not having one (or a few!) in your immediate work area!?!?
Yet somehow I always do manage to kill them :(

*happy dance* yaaaay my Christmas wish came true - twice! I now have one plant by my bed and another plant sitting just above the monitor of this PC, ahhhhh! Tripping out on oxygen and happy vibes here, lol. Its the variety i was quietly hoping for the most too because it checks alllll the boxes: the Mother In Laws Tongue Plant aka Snake Plant, Sansevieria trifasciata laurentii :) Nice healthy 1.5 footers too which is great because they're slow growers. I'm sooo happy and my work environment just got so much better!!! :) :) :) IF THIS WONT IMPROVE MY CODING THEN ONLY RTFM WILL! (hey Fred dont think i didn't see that eyeroll!)
Have a great Christmas tomorrow everyone!!!
