Update.

- some minor stuff left and right
- 3d blending examples http://bluez.home.xs4all.nl/purebasic/p ... d_blending
- checked all examples on the 'graphics part II' page for 4.60b4 issues

Still checking other parts for 4.60bx compatibility issues, none thus far.

Not a real announcement, as there isn't too much to announce, but after some very minor updates (over the last two years) I have started working on the Survival Guide again, to bring it up to 5.11 and / or beyond.

(I was planning to add a little more references to interesting material, and I was wondering... was Kale's book ever updated to a later version?)

Your survival guide helped me to understand the basics of PB. Even after years of coding, I still look back into some particular sections. Very useful. Keep up the good work! Thanks.

Update.

Very slow updates to the latest version, due to work as well as some (PB related / involved) projects I work on.

Still lots to do. Made a number of minor changes left and right, and many changes to the database page, as I've been struggling with that myself.

5.20bx is quite impressive, and I need to consider carefully which new features I am going to ignore :-)

I know the guide hasn't been updated in ages (and I've not been frequenting these boards as often as I used to, due to private circumstances)...

... but in case anyone wondered where it went, it still exists, albeit in a different location:

Damn right. People overlook this as a real resource that should be passed around. Keep it up mate.

In reference to idle's comment.
In case I've never thanked you for your PureBasic Survival Guide, I wanted to make sure I did too.
Your site and some of your other stuff and explanations has been very helpful to me.
Thanks much. :D

After a long period of 'too busy with other things' I've returned to the guide and made a first update, trying to bring everything up to 5.50. The first page has been done.

If anybody has any comments, please tell me.

On to the next one...
