This makes sense, but PureBasic is the most productive desktop language I used so far....

There is also Brucey's own version of BMX. It's still work-in-progress / experimental
and adds Win64 and Raspberry Pi support etc. - see:

Burceys BMX-NG also lets you build apps for iOS and Android. He is doing things right imho.
