PureBasic 5.24 LTS final is available

Post by Fred »

Hi there,

edit: the final version is out !

Here is the new LTS version which includes the bugs fixes from the brand new 5.31 version. If you think we missed to backport one fix to this stable release, don't hesitate to post (managing 2 branches can be somewhat tricky). We don't expect much regression or bugs, so feel free to test your big projects with this version.

Have fun !

No, 5.31 supports ASCII and probably 5.40 as well.

Great! Thanks once more for the great work.
Just for curiosity: SpiderBasic appears to be a little bit abandoned. Would be great if you drop some lines about how things are going and what is planned.

It is still in the work, but we had to release these PB versions before continue the work.

Good to hear that, thanks! We're in the planning phase of a web based application and wish very much to use SpiderBasic. Well, let's see, coding work starts just in January or even later.

Ok, just downloaded and installed the LTS version 5.24 ,32 bit and the Panel is not there? I can put it on auto-hide, and the tabs appear? , which should hide the panel instead one would think? But when I move to go over to the panel, all the tabs disappear again before I can click anything? Oh and the tab list for the Purebasic files/programs I have loaded just goes off the right of the window, no stopping.

I'm using windows 7 if that helps? going to download regular 5.31 for now as I need that panel ,

Still great work guys, Purebasic is a kick butt language, you all ever think of doing a version that can output Android Apps by the way? be a hot seller I bet.

I know I for one would buy an Android Purebasic development system. Even though I already own a few Android development systems. Just a thought.

That will probably come in the form of SpiderBasic + Cordova.
