Mark Sibly made a statement on his personal blog site saying that Monkey X sales are not as good as he expected.
He'll continue to support Monkey X but big improvements (also mentioned Monkey 2) will put on hold.
He also released the source code of BlitzPlus on github.

Interesting... glad he's being honest about the situation, I hope sales come up a bit!
The language has some quirks, but it is pretty nice to write a game and pretty easily generate desktop/browser/Android/iOS versions.

Always interesting reads. Doing new stuffs and experiments isn't easy and I wish good luck to Mark, he deserves it.

He has a good web design and the concept is very marketable. The pipeline must have too many quirks and/or they don't market enough.
I know there is no shortage of people who want to build native(as in not webview based) apps with fast turn-around.. AGK, Titanium, PhoneGap aren't even competition because of bugs and bad design, people just use them because they are the only option..
If your product fails in popularity and in you're in a niche market, it means you're probably doing something wrong..
