PureBasic 4.60 RC 1

Post by Fred »

Hi there,

The RC1 of the forthcoming 4.60 version is out. Only bug fixes this time, we are getting closer to final release so don't hesitate to test it and report any problem so we can get a stable final ! Grab it as usual on your online account.

Have fun !

Awesome Fred!!!

But it's been... 9 minutes since Fred last posted, does that mean that the PB is going to die a painful prolonged death and the full 4.60 will never see the light of day?

Noooooo!!!!

Thanks Fred!

Do we have to wait for bug fixes that do not pertain to the new features in a 4.61 release? There's just a few bugs on Mac, that have apparently been broken since the initial PB Mac release. Which I'm sure was due to the lack of that many Mac users to report the bugs in the first place. I just have nothing to fall back on, such as an older PB release, to continue development.

Ohhh a Release Candidate :!:

Will try this now..

edit:

Awesome!! You added a Module library for tracker tunes!

edit2:
I noticed something I didn't before. I couldn't figure out why my font settings looked so different, when I thought everything was selected the same. However PB does not appear to remember the stylization you use on the font, only the Font Face + Size. in 4.51 I had settled on Consolas 9pt Bold, however it does not remember the "Bold setting" when you open the font selector.

Don't know if that's a windows issue or not, etc.. But it threw me off when I tried to set the same font in 4.60 until I figured out I needed to set it bold :?

All this work is much appreciated.
Just realised recently how many times I keep coming back to PB when I need something done quickly and properly.

Thankyou.

Old bugs good, new bugs bad! Updates are evil: might fix old bugs and introduce no new ones.

- Joint and Effect examples are missing from the help file.
- Attributes for GetJointAttribute() and SetJointAttribute() are not mentionned in the help file.
- Informations concerning graphical console for Linux need to be updated.
