Just like the MenuItem() command the OpenSubMenu() command should also have a field where you can specify an icon for it, or else the menu icon implementation in PureBasic is kinda incomplete.
I report this as a "bug" since it was probably forgotten in the hurry!
And because no developer replied in my other thread about this...
And if this turns out to be a case where they're able to do it on Windows but not the other platforms and therefore it is not implemented, then please let Windows use the field and let the other platforms ignore it.

Don't invent bugs because you are not satisfied with the response in the feature request forum. This is not how it works.Joakim Christiansen wrote:I report this as a "bug" since it was probably forgotten in the hurry!

Yes, I was not satisfied with no response for moths even after bumping! Guilty!freak wrote:Don't invent bugs because you are not satisfied with the response in the feature request forum. This is not how it works.
So how does it work then? EDIT: Ok, sorry for the harsh tone, but sometimes it is hard to reach you guys about things like these.

What response do you want? The request makes sense, but I do not have a specific plan to implement it right now because, well, there are tons of other things to do that make sense as well and my time is severely limited at the moment. I could give the same answer to most of the feature request posts. What would be the point?
I do not make any promises on such things anymore even if I am pretty sure I will implement something, because plans can change and people just get disappointed.

Its called "feature request" forum. You can make a request and discuss it with the community if you want. I read everything that gets posted here and when it is time to decide on new features, I use it for reference as well. But its not a "feature demand" forum. If nothing happens then this is bad luck. Bumping topics or trying to turn your request into a bug report won't increase your chances there.

The problem is that we just don't know if you developers get it, same goes for the bug forum of course.
Even if you say you read every post here it isn't much of a satisfaction because it doesn't feel like it when there isn't any answer from you (freak, fred).
This is again a reason to me to finally add a bug tracker. There you can easily mark posts as "read", "planned for version X", "already fixed in version Y", "not a bug" etc. It would even be easier to understand the release notes: "Fixed several compiler bugs and added several features" could get "Fixed: #1, #2 & added: #3, #77".

If any of you native English speakers have any suggestions for the above text, please let me know (via PM). Thanks!
Re: OpenSubMenu() missing [, ImageID]
Reading is easier for us than replying, we can do it from a mobile phone for exemple. Like Timo, I try to read everything and if the idea makes its way it will be implemented someday.

As c4s explained some of us is unsure about how this is treated. In the bug forum it is better since most posts get attention, but in the feature request forum there is not much feedback. But if Freak says that he reads most of the posts in the feature request forum but it is a hassle to reply to every post then I will respect this from now on!c4s wrote:The problem is that we just don't know if you developers get it, same goes for the bug forum of course.

Thanks for replying Freak and Fred!
