Thanks.Hi DoubleDutch, looks fabulous
I think these are the links you mean:The link to the teachers website is too old (2008) - maybe you could send them a new Pres Release?
Hopefully... Either it or ReportPlus (a licenced copy) is in about 1,000 UK schools at present.I'm sure ReportComplete should be the defacto app for all schools
One of the great features I like is the smart cut and paste. Cut a comment from one child’s report and paste it into another and the name changes plus the pronouns subject name, class, etc. This makes cutting and pasting comments easy without that awful nagging doubt that you forgot to change ‘Richard’ into ‘Sarah’ or a ‘he’ into a ‘she’!
Elementary Reports was going to be a US version of ReportBuilder (A program I wrote that was sold and supported by ApplePanic Ltd, I was paid a royalty for the program, they supplied teh statements). ApplePanic ceased to exist and I didn't think it was fair to leave a lot of teachers without any program, so I quickly patched Elementary Reports to also work with the UK system again, create a fresh statement bank and let them have a free licence if they already had ReportBuilder - some schools contributed more original statements as a 'thankyou'. When making Elementary Reports 'compatible' with the UK system I also extended a lot of the internals to make it easy to code a version for any type of school (secondary, etc) - but it was too late for a name change. Now a year or two has passed, the schools don't seem to mind another change - I've put in a system that will import from one to the other. There is another (!!) version of the program (from the same source code) that is called ReportPlus, it is sold under licence by ReportPlus Limited and shares the same feature set, but has different icons, default values and user licence model - they go by class size vs. my number of teachers. The additions requested by ReportPlus over the last year or so is what has brought about such a dramatic increase in the number of features the program now has.....with a 3rd name change, you are beginning to compete with Microsoft!
The 'PasteAI' system keeps 'track' the original (source) pronouns in the document - this way it can't make mistakes like a normal search/replace pronoun changer - in other programs they will mess up if you convert from one to the other because not all male/female pronouns are interchangeable.I really like your special copy and paste feature,
