Publishing 3d Models in web page

Post by ekix »

Hello guys

Does anyone know is there some alternative to publish your 3d models in Adobe's Shockwave format except Adobe Director, because it is really expensive for an hobbyist just for publishing....

I would like to put some "walk through" scenes into my web page just for fun.

Have a look at VRML. It was popular in the late 90's when 3D was new and the web was surging but it's fallen out of favor of browser support so you'll need to use a plugin.

There's also java applets.
