I seem to remember that the original name for this 'dumb terminal' concept was "net PC". Seems to me the network speed would have to increase by about a factor of 1000 or more if it is not going to contain its own memory (every memory access is over the network?). Sure, it may drop the price of a PC, but would it be worth it if the speed is not there?

I don't "own" any illegal software but I don't want someone else holding ALL my applications! THEY control what you run in that event. It is censorship!
Like the iPhone where they can deelete files that are "unacceptable" this is what we are going to...
And all the tech support will be outsourced to India or Burma and the idiots on the phone will NOT be helpful because they get paid no matter if they help you or not...
Kind of like the government or the DPS.

Besides... think of what 1 smarmy little freakazoid h@ck3r kiddy will want to do... write a chatbot in PB 5 to take down the network!

Yep... probably designed after drinking three bottles of the stuff! It could have been named Cube Libre!!! or Jaegermiester!!!!I think the code name for Microsofts future OS is Midori.
