amazed

Post by Steven Manschot »

Yesterday I bought a license of PB. Fiddled a little with it and build an app for a customer which consists of one dialog with some radiobuttons, textfields and it loads his preferences and some more stuff.

Then i compiled it..... it was 18 KILOBYTE!!!...wtf...I have a ultra serious (and equal expensive) lisp environment which need 10Mb for a simple "hello world"!

Next thing...I finished writing a ftp client dll in vc++ this evening and ,just for fun, tried it to load with pb... IT JUST WORKED!!!.. Normally if you want to link two different languages you are in a world of pain...

I'm utterly and totally amazed.

Steven.

Good thing your clients don't pay you by the Kbyte ;)

Happy your with us...

Btw, you can always get some more compression to your app if you use UPX... (Don't know if it will work on such small app)

It's at the resource site at: http://www.reelmediaproductions.com/cgi ... ourcesSite

check editor addons and asm libs to add more power to PB[/url]

These clients think Kilobyte is something you order in a fishrestaurant
