OGRE: What's coming in the next PB release?

Got an idea for enhancing PureBasic? New command(s) you'd like to see?

OGRE: What's coming in the next PB release?

Post by hypervox »

This one's for Fred! Can you tell us all, what we can look forward to regarding OGRE in the next PB release? I'd like to leave the World of DarkBasic & Blitz 3D well behind, and PB could well be the way to go in future.....

Just have a look at the official Ogre Homepage at: http://ogre.sourceforge.net/ There you can find enough Information of what's coming to Ogre. It's also a good idea to look into the forum! I think the most important feature coming is the collision support.

Perhaps Fred thinks about including the physics library ODE to Purebasic? Also very important is the ability to change the material (transparency etc.) of an object.

I think it's only a matter of time to implement most of the Ogre features.

Fred has to add the Purebasic specific glue code and debug information to use Ogre features.

So let's support Fred and do something cool with Purebasic-Ogre! The more people use it, the better it will be!

Quote by Fred viewtopic.php?t=5305:
ODE will be the official physic plugin supported by OGRE AFAIK so it will be for PB. It's a very good choice, as ODE is very powerful. The network is already present in PB, and will be updated when other part will be done.
