Is this new, I haven't noticed it before.
If it is then what is the difference between this and UseJPEGImageDecoder()?
Edit. just tried loading a jpeg with this decoder and it didn't work so maybe it isn't a substitute for usejpegimagedecoder().

Ok. thanks. Just never noticed it in the autocomplete list before and there's nothing in the help files or on the forum search.

It's a fantastic news! JPEG2000 is a lot more efficient than jpeg, sometimes more than 10x! Just encode your pictures with xnview (for example), and voilà.
I'm happy!

It just turned up in the autocomplete so I thought I would ask. Sounds like a good addition.

We didn't tested it much, so use it at your own risk.

So it will stay for now, or will it be removed and then come back?

It will be removed as it is not fully tested.
