Yeah, we have an exchange rate and at the moment the euro is so strong against the pound that I reckon a lot of you continental types will be coming here for their holidays and making a killing.

Yeah, me too. I'm off to the USA next year and hopefully (if I can find some spare cash) I'll be buying up some Dollars over the next few months ready for when I go.

didn't your pubs drop closing hours?
*gets dah suitcase* good idea... fresh strout....
I was in london with my high school class a few years ago, the pound was probably 10% higher than now, but didn't matter that much. The biggest problem was that our favorite pub closed at 24!!!
Then we walked across the road into hyde park to fool around and drink a bit then to walk to the mcdonalds and home to the hotel to get ready for next day

Oh well i'm having a fun time buying european things without tax and getting them shipped as gifts to denmark. Legal since its not from companies and you don't pay tax on gifts. And cheaper by FAR
Exactly, I've bought quite a few things from the US and they have been shipped as gifts and have been a lot less than what I would have paid in this country or the EU.
