National (or State) Dishes

Post by Rook Zimbabwe »

What is everyones national dish? I mean in Texas there are sooo many contributions to the world food list I couldn't begin to list them all:
Steak, Chili, Tacos, Fajitas, Enchiladas, Hamburgers, Chicken Fried Steak, Sopapillas...

Whats your state or country dish?

Anyone from Iceland? I hear rotted shark is unique! :D

Well I think one of the favourite dishes in England now is Curry. Not sure what the national dish is though.

Don't know about the green pea soup thing over here in NSW electrochrisso. I do seem to remember a song from when I was a kid which was titled something like " Who put the Roo in the stew" though.

haha, I was just kidding :) it probably is a curry or something equally crazy... I seem to remember the BBC doing a series of shows, and I seem to remember there being a crazy result. I can't remember the result, some google monster will probably find it :P

To be honest though... Black pudding, good grief... I Never liked the idea of eating congealed blood lol

Fish and chips sounds good but like Lucifer said I'm sure the BBC came up with some strange result.
