That is important for a pro musician like you, and even for a non pro musician tooeinander wrote:...last 15 years without noisy neighbors and traffic jams
@DoubleDutch
Your place is one of the bests, but would be perfect if the house was in the other side of the terrain to not be so near of the road.

Psychophanta: I agree with it being too near the road.
People use the road like a race track - it has a 30mph limit, but last year a car hit the house at 90mph. The car was written off, but the house wasnt scratched - 1.5 ft wide walls!
The council tax is also far too high - £2500 last year. But the worst thing is that we can only get 1Mbit broadband!
I personally would like to live in France or Spain - those all look the best so far.

hehe!, i suspected something like that!, and may be it will not be the last time which happens it.DoubleDutch wrote:People use the road like a race track - it has a 30mph limit, but last year a car hit the house at 90mph. The car was written off, but the house wasnt scratched - 1.5 ft wide walls!
Yes, that is the bad part of living in some peaceful places relatively far of city.DoubleDutch wrote:But the worst thing is that we can only get 1Mbit broadband!
Trust me, the only only only good thing of spain respect to norther countries is the weather, and it is only nice in the 1/3 south of Spain.DoubleDutch wrote:I personally would like to live in France or Spain - those all look the best so far.
And apart of this, there is not very important the country, but just the place, and yours seems not bad, i like it.
mmmhhh, more than one year ago i have heard to talk about ADSL2+ which reaches 20mbit/s, aren't there ADSL2+ ?thefool wrote:Heck. Denmark was far behind nearly everyone when it came to prices and speed. The ADSL2+ 20mbit has a silly upload of 1 mbit. I got 5 times the upload speed, and besides a fiber has nearly 0 noise . With the fiber i can go to 100mbit which is their limit currently, but 5 and 10 mbit are in the low price-end. I think we pay around 110$ a month for the 5/5mbit.Psychophanta wrote:mmmhhh, more than one year ago i have heard to talk about ADSL2+ which reaches 20mbit/s, aren't there ADSL2+ ?thefool wrote: Heck. But 1mbit upload is totally USELESS.

You do realize, that it is recommended to have i think its at LEAST 1/4th (or is it 40%) of the download speed in upload to get a good "rate", and that a 20mb adsl probably would have so much noise, that it looses SEVERAL megabits?Psychophanta wrote:mmmhhh, i would like that.Bonne_den_kule wrote:I have a ADSL2+ (20000/1000) for only 80$ per month
I don't need more of 1m for outsending data
At my current supplier they offer up to 40/40 mbits fiber at the standard solution, more would of course be a special line at a higher price. 40/40 mbit fiber, 244$/month. Thats like nothing
