How many days of paid vacation do you get per year?
Include the # of years you've been at your current company if you would. I only get 5 days per year, and I can't even use them because 4 of them are used in "forced" vacation days over the christmas factory shutdown and July 3rd+4th.

I get 20 days paid vacation. Plus paid for Bank & national holidays (which are seperate from my 20 days). Also get around 10 - 14 days over Christmas (depending on what day's christmas, boxing day and new years day fall on) also, in addition to my 20 days.
I've been in this job a little over 2 years now.

France seems much better than the UK - Long holidays, fast broadband, virtually no council tax, holidaying in spain is just a drive away, nicer weather and cheap houses! Is there a downside?

In germany there's a minimum of 20 days per year regulated by law
(at 5 man-days). Working 4 man-days a week still garantees you 16
days while working 6 man-days gives you 24 days paid vacation, no
matter how old you are or how long you're working for the company.
Sky is the limit of course, that's just the bare minimum.

Good programmers don't comment their code. It was hard to write, should be hard to read.
25 / year, plus two or three public holidays

In France normal way is 5 weeks , and RTT can be different between company, depend if you make 35 hours/week or not.ricardo wrote:Thats because YOUR job or its the NORMAL way in France?Comtois wrote:6 weeks + 12 days of RTT (Réduction Temps de Travail) = 8 weeks & national holidays (which are seperate from my 8 weeks)
As i work more than 35 hours / week (i do 37 hours/week), i get 12 days paid /year.
