What about having a problem with a PC at work. One of your users says:"fix my pc problem - it's your damn job!". You go and do that, buying a new pc, cause the other one was too old. Then it happens: you install and acitvate Vista, boot the PC, work for about an hour or two, and then the harddisk crashes. You where one of 1000, who bought a "monday-harddrive". It was damaged, when it left the company, where it was built. You go and buy a new one (or get a new one without any charge) and want to reinstall Vista. This wouldn't work, would it?But if I remember correctly, you cannot active two copies after a certain ammount of time.
I can remember, struggling around on the phone with Microprofits Support, because of activating a XP-copy twice a day (because of such a problem with the harddisk) or just because the "testing machine" in the office was damaged and I had to reinstall it!
These are the reasons, why I switched to Linux. Freedom.
Linux is not better than windows in all aspects. Sometimes I miss some features or programs, but I prefer to "die on my feet, than live on my knees".
